Facilities Maintenance Technician II

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is a full-time, benefited, non-exempt position. Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks on Chautauqua facilities, structures, and grounds. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required in meeting position responsibilities. For on-call emergency and inclement weather reporting this position is considered essential.

Audio-Visual Tech I

The Audio-visual Tech (AV Tech I) is a part-time, non-exempt position providing exceptional, service-oriented AV assistance for the Colorado Chautauqua. The AV Tech I will assist in, and provide support for, the set-up, strike and on-site management of audio-visual equipment for various events, which include weddings, corporate, social and other private functions. The work schedule will vary and include a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts. For purposes of reporting, this position is considered non-essential.

Grounds Maintenance Technician

The Grounds Maintenance Technician (GMT) is a full-time benefited, non-exempt position. This position performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and operations of our historic grounds, including but no limited to mowing, trimming, edging, pruning and snow removal. The technician is expected to have working knowledge of mowing operations and equipment, in addition to foundational knowledge of plant care and health. Weekend and holiday work is occasionally required in meeting position responsibilities. For emergency and inclement weather reporting purposes this position is essential.

Facilities & Preservation Manager

The Facilities & Preservation Manager (F&P Manager) is a full-time, benefited, exempt position. This is a hands-on managerial role with oversight of the planning and execution of all maintenance, repair, and alteration of historic buildings and grounds within the Colorado Chautauqua leasehold. The F&P Manager works closely with our hospitality teams and events teams in coordinating maintenance and repairs, managing vendor contracts and relationships, executing our sustainability and resiliency initiatives, and is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks related to facilities and grounds maintenance. Evening, weekend and holiday work is required in meeting position responsibilities. For emergency and inclement weather reporting this position is considered essential. 

Starting Annual Salary: $71,900-$75,000

Stagehand/Technical Staff

Colorado Chautauqua is hiring for the 2024 summer season! The Public Events team is looking for seasonal, part-time stagehand/technical staff, to assist with stage and audio/visual aspects of event productions at Chautauqua for both CCA produced and co-produced events. Evening and weekend work is required in meeting position responsibilities.

Seasonal Housekeeper

The Seasonal Housekeeper is a seasonal (mid-April thru early October), non-exempt, non-benefited position, and is responsible for performing housekeeping duties in rental cottages and public buildings in a timely manner, meeting established quality standards. Weekend and some evening work are required in meeting position responsibilities. For emergency and inclement weather reporting this position is considered essential.

Seasonal Event/Parking Staff

Seasonal Event/Parking Staff is a seasonal (mid-May thru early October), part-time, non-exempt, non-benefited position having responsibility for creating a positive and safe guest service experience, as well as ensuring the general up-keep, cleanliness, and security of events at the Chautauqua Auditorium. Additionally, this position will be tasked with monitoring parking and traffic flow for guests, artist, staff, and volunteers for Chautauqua events. Evening and weekend work is required.

Seasonal General Store Associate

The Seasonal General Store Associate is a seasonal (mid-April thru early October) part-time, non- benefited position, responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, taking orders, preparing and serving food and drinks, cleaning, re-stocking and maintaining the retail space. Shifts will vary and will include a mix of weekdays and weekends, mornings and evenings. For emergency and inclement weather reporting, this position is considered essential.
