Use your mobile phone to take our interpretive audio tour, explaining the history and uniqueness of the Colorado Chautauqua. The tour features nine stops and four interpretive panels located throughout the National Historic Landmark.

BOULDER WALKING TOURS

Join Boulder Walking Tours for their new historic walking tour of the Colorado Chautauqua National Historic Landmark.

For years, Boulder Walking Tours has offered fun and informative tours for locals and visitors alike ~ covering Boulder's dynamic downtown, eclectic neighborhoods, historic districts, and even nearby open space.

Your knowledgeable guides have a collection of historic photographs to bring your tour to life. We'll provide background on the nationwide Chautauqua movement and key aspects of Boulder's Chautauqua including:

• the acoustically-renowned Chautauqua Auditorium;
• the legendary Dining Hall;
• the Missions House, Rest Cottage, and Chautauqua's "Brown Palace";
• the winding lanes of charming cottages, with images and stories of early residents.

Your guide can also provide advice on how to best take advantage of Chautauqua's front door access to 48 miles of hiking trails, and will also offer background on the season's cultural events.

The tours cover slightly under 1 mile, with 100 feet elevation gain, and in some places the terrain is uneven. We will spend about 1 hour and 15 minutes together. Tour capacity 10, first come-first serve, pre-registration required. For more information, or to register, click here.
