The Colorado Chautauqua, in partnership with The New Local, is proud to announce the return of the beloved Art In The Park Bears. Plan a day trip or better yet, plan an overnight stay in a cozy Chautauqua cottage with your family and discover the beautifully decorated bears of Art In The Park. Kids from 2 – 92 will love exploring one of Boulder’s biggest and best-loved public art installations. You can even bid in our online auction to take one of the bears home. But don’t delay, the bears will be going into hibernation after April 16, 2024.

Fifteen talented artists were selected from a pool of close to 100 applicants to transform the adorable bear statues into extraordinary works of art. The participating artists have created a stunning exhibit located in one of the most breathtaking outdoor venues in the country.

The bears will be on display throughout Chautauqua’s National Historic Landmark campus from December 1, 2023 through April 16, 2024. The bears are part of an auction and the proceeds raised will support the 15 participating artists, local nonprofits, and the Colorado Chautauqua.

Each winning bid over $2,000 will recieve two premium tickets to a concert of your choice during the 2024 Summer Concert Series in the Chautauqua Auditorium.

Each winning bid over $3,500 will receive a dream Summer Concert Package that includes:
