July 3 – August 3, 2025
The Colorado Music Festival brings phenomenal music right to the heart of Colorado. Under the guidance of renowned conductor Peter Oundjian, the Festival fills the summer with joyful evenings in Chautauqua Auditorium.
2025 Festival highlights include:
- Pianist Hélène Grimaud, Violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, Guitarist Xuefei Yang, and More: You count on the Festival to bring you a thrilling roster of today’s most talented musicians, and this season offers nonstop fireworks.
- Joan Tower’s World Premiere: The Festival premieres the iconic composer’s saxophone concerto Love Returns, an homage to her beloved husband, to whom she also dedicated her lauded 2021 premiere A New Day. Saxophonist Steven Banks returns to the Chautauqua stage for this can’t-miss event.
- Ode to Joy: Experience musical masterpieces as they were meant to be heard: live, with a full, phenomenal orchestra! If you can’t choose between Beethoven 9, Brahms 1, and Shostakovich 10, hear them all — as well as audience favorites such as Copland’s Appalachian Spring, Ravel’s Boléro, Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, and Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez.
