The General Store (next door to Chautauqua Dining Hall) is your destination for fresh espresso drinks and sweet and savory pastries, chai, local teas, cold beverages, ice cream, milk shakes and energy snacks and drinks to fuel your hike, bike ride, or round of frisbee. You can also find Chautauqua-branded merchandise, locally made goods, post cards, and mementos to take home with you.

Tales By The Trails
Join us every other summer Tuesday for Tales By The Trails at the Chautauqua Café! This fun family story hour with beloved local storyteller, Judy Volc, is great for the little ones, and parents can enjoy coffee from the General Store!

The Chautauqua Café
NOW OPEN!
As part of our effort to further historic preservation at Chautauqua, we have recently reconstructed an outdoor pavilion between the Dining Hall and the General Store. The pavilion, known as the “Chautauqua Café,” was built in the late 1800s and was reconstructed using historic photos. Guests and visitors can grab a coffee, sandwich, salad or ice cream from the adjoining General Store and enjoy this open-air seating area year-round. The Café will also soon be available for a limited number of private events.

Chautauqua merchandise (available only from The General Store) is now available from the comfort of your couch. Show off the hoodies, hats, water bottles, mugs and more with pride wherever you are, or get them shipped far and wide to everyone on your list.
As with all General Store items, you can feel extra good knowing that every sale supports the continued preservation and programming of the Colorado Chautauqua nonprofit.
