Chautauqua was founded for women, and women have been essential to its survival for nearly 125 years — as students and instructors, performers and speakers, mothers and clubwomen, historians and advocates, Board of Directors officers and Executive Directors.
Kate Gerard, Chautauqua Archivist, will present a overview of women’s history at Chautauqua.
Start your Monday off right with a gentle flow yoga class and a beautiful view. All experience levels are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat or check one out at the front desk. The class is led by Sarah Lems. Sarah teaches yoga in a nurturing, supportive, and fun-loving way. Yoga changed her outlook on life, allowing her to find the pause between stimulus and response and teaching her to slow down and listen to her inner voice.

Colorado Chautauqua is proud to present the second annual free and bilingual Festival Del Sol (formerly Celebración de la Comunidad) on Sunday, September 18th! Enjoy live music, food trucks, outdoor beer/wine garden, traditional dance, games, children’s activities, photo booth, and local art vendors at the Chautauqua Auditorium and surrounding gardens. Kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the vibrancy of Latin culture in the stunning surroundings of Chautauqua!

Ride the FREE Shuttle
Enjoy a stress-free way to get to Chautauqua. The shuttle will pick up at 27th Way/Broadway and New Vista High School starting at 11:30 am, returning approximately every 15 minutes. It will drop off and pick up at the same spot – right outside the Chautauqua Dining Hall until 30 mins after show.
